Local Artists “Art Up” our Kid Desks for Auction!
We’re hosting an Auction, through midnight December 20, to raise funds to make more desks for kids in need! Local Atlanta artists were excited to share their skills to turn our wood maker-made desks into works of art.

In October, Decatur Makers began building free desks for families who have young students schooling at home. We currently have over 1,700 desk requests, and our initial fundraising effort raised enough to help us make 550 desks! As a way to raise money to make more desks, amazing community artists volunteered to transform our desks to reflect their own style and creativity. We proudly offer these original masterpieces in our online auction.
HOW TO BID IN THE ART IT UP AUCTION?

- To bid on a desk, click the bid button and you’ll need to register with your credit card.
- After validating your email address, you’re good to go!
- You will be charged only if you win the auction. Your bids remain anonymous.
Ideas for these works of art and creativity:
- Take one or more home to furnish your own “home school.”
- Donate your desk back to the pool of desks for a family in-need.
- Gift it this holiday season to someone you know who can use a new objet d’art.
