Welcome Jennifer Morrison, Manager of Youth Programming & Outreach!

After sharing a job posting at the beginning of September, our Hiring Committee, made up of Board members and members of our community, reviewed the significant number of applicants and participated in interviews. With so many highly-qualified candidates, it was a very difficult decision.

We are thrilled to announce that Jennifer Morrison accepted our offer to be the Manager of Youth Programming & Outreach. Her first day was October 25 and she’s working closely with our Executive Director, Irm Diorio, and our Makerspace Manager, George Breeden.

With her passion for making, youth education, and the fostering of community, Jennifer brings a love of art-making, a fascination with human development, and advocacy for making as a pillar of mental and emotional well-being.

Her diverse background as an artist, therapist, and educator will give her a fresh and creative perspective in developing Decatur Makers youth and teacher professional development programs, and fostering strong connections with our larger community.

With Jennifer’s help, Decatur Makers will sustainably and intentionally grow our unique education programs to positively impact the metro-Atlanta community by empowering a community of builders, creatives, and learners!
