Maureen Ann Haley, MD, FACS is a general surgeon and a founding member of Decatur Makers. She finds the making community to be the healthiest form of creative fun, originally getting involved to learn programming and staying involved to help create a space where anyone can hack away at their pet projects. Nearly all of her builds end up with programmable blinky lights or revolve in some way around her dog, Dilly, but in addition to electronics, she has developed skills in 3D printing, 3D design, vector design, laser cutting, and helped start a fledgling video livestreaming group and a Decatur Makers podcast.
