STEM teachers with Georgia Tech’s CEISMC visit Decatur Makers

Last Saturday, STEM teachers training with Georgia Tech’s Center for Education Incorporating Science, Mathematics, and Computing joined Decatur Makers to hone their making skills. They used Tinkercad to design in 3D, then printed their creations on our 3D printers. They made lanterns on the Silhouette cutter, and wired them up in the e-shop! Decatur Maker Paulette Richards told them all about the Hollis Academy Innovators in Residence program, and our Executive Director Irm Diorio gave a talk on the maker movement. Thanks to everyone else who helped inspire these teachers including Kevin Arne, Ryan Snelling, and Maureen Haley.
