Irm spent time employed at BellSouth in the strategic planning group supporting the company’s wireless businesses. When she started her family, she was inspired to work with several small and startup education-based companies. With more than 20 years of experience teaching STEAM education and mentoring K-12 aged kids, she is a firm supporter of youth addressing real-world problems in a hands-on environment with failures considered an integral part of learning. It is these tenets of making that develop the 21st century skills needed for people of all ages to have a positive impact within their communities. In addition to the maker world, Irm and her family enjoy traveling, and many outdoor sports.
