And although our space is still a tad cool (our HVAC system is coming soon!), we held an Open House on January 21st where about 60 curious folks braved the cold to hear more about who we are and what we’ve been doing.
To prepare, our incredibly awesome maker community installed outdoor lights, fixed our inside lights, enclosed our bathroom with a door and sound-proof ceiling, stacked our shelves, swept, and displayed our current tools/machines. A special thanks goes to Connor (brother to the young face of our “epic” Kickstarter video) for his mad maker skills in getting our 3D printer up and running and to Trevor who kept busy calibrating our CNC machine during the event and who also built a fine box to keep it safe.
January 19: It’s cold outside… and inside (our heat isn’t installed yet!), but then, we’re used to being cooool. Wanna see our groovin’ digs? Just hearing about us and need to hear more?? Stop by our Open House on Wednesday, January 21 at 7:00pm and check out our progress, talk to members, get an update and shiver with maker friends. Hope to see you there (mostly since ya’ll are a source of radiant heat)! Hot beverages will be served.
