Many makers, big and small, came together at our space this past Saturday to tell us their maker stories. Banjos from cake tins, electrical tape dresses, Minecraft programming, treehouses, robots, DIY microphones and many, many more maker masterpieces were shared. These stories just happened to be captured on video as videographer Ron Borden, of Borden Media, Inc., gave us his time to help us out.
With the camera rolling, these makers talked about their projects, and also about what it means to them having the Decatur Makers community within their reach (with ample parking!). The smiles and excitement were evident throughout the day, as makers mentioned new skills and other projects they’d like to tackle, and share, once our doors are open.
Thanks to everyone who made the time to stop by and who volunteered to help out. And to those who didn’t get the chance to share their projects yet, we’ll be gathering again soon to hear about yours.
THE END (Well, not really. We’re just getting started…)
